Pa Elton had an impact on the Scripture Union. Most of the people that were dynamic in the S.U. revival often invited Elton to speak in our meetings. His teachings had a lot of influence on many of us. I became like a personal friend - like a small boy to him. I would go to his house and, because of my zeal to preach the gospel, would collect thousands of pamphlets and tracts - particularly that of T.L. Osborn and Gordon Lindsay.
I would sit with Pa Elton and we would discuss deep things of the Spirit. He also gave me ancient books to read and return. That helped me in my faith very much.
